Lara Roeven

Lara Roeven is a Ph.D. student in Development Studies at Cornell University. She works at the intersection of critical agrarian studies, political ecology, and Science and Technology Studies. Her research examines how the use of emerging, digital technologies on strawberry farms reshapes the relations between human labor, nonhuman nature, and agricultural knowledge and technology in California. She received a Research Innovation Fund summer stipend in 2022 from the Cornell Institute for Digital Agriculture to support her research. She holds a BSc in Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics (PPLE) from the University of Amsterdam.
